I drew the inference that those who have not hit 'rock bottom' would not fit in to AA. That appears to be the implication.
Thus, the question.
The group I belonged to (and the only 12 Step Group I would ever attend again) used the term "My Rock Bottom". For one man, it was the loss of his wife in divorce, for another it was loosing his driving license. For another, it was being kicked out of his home and living in his car on the street and losing his job. Everyone had a different Rock Bottom, but all that mattered was they got to a point that was so bad they said "I can't go any further" and decided to seek help to stop drinking.
