I have been prescribed trazadone for a long time started at 50mg but can also take 100mg. I have also stopped taking it when I didn't need it and experienced no withdrawals or side effects.
I remember the first days I took it, WOW, I hadn't had such a solid night's sleep in seemed like forever. It was great!
I did have some side effects when I started but they soon end as your body adjusts.
I won't tell you what they were because of the power of suggestion, but if you do think you are having side effects, you can check with me.
Do take them early before bedtime as they work to keep you asleep for a solid 8 hours and you will be way groggy in the morning if you take them late. so take them about 2 hours before you want to go to bed. In the early days it may make you fall asleep soon after taking it, but that will soon pass. Give it at least two months to get adjusted. And they do have a bit of anti-d in them. As I all ready was on anti-d, trazadone really boosted that.
