One thing that I want to point out is that he can't get clean for anyone but himself. I know you want to believe that his mom and dad knowing will make a difference. It didn't for my daughter and we were very close. The important thing is to get yourself and your children as healthy as you can. That way if he ever does get clean, you will already have a headstart on a better life and if he doesn't then you will still be in a better place.
