You were indeed fortunate, and smart! you didn't let him ruin your future by getting you onto his credit cards like my ex did. It's a living nightmare too. I am getting all his bills still, after 2 years! They are coming after me.
But, I do have peace that I didn't have while I was living in the chaos.
If I have to weigh it out, the peace is far more worth it than staying with a drug addict.
