Lost Parent, My 10/yo daughter thinks that her dad is an alcoholic. Her father
asked for that. He does not want her to know that he is a drug addict.
I agreed to that because there is such a stigma with having a parent on drugs and
she knew a couple people in school whose parents divorced due to alcohol.
I know that when she is older that I will tell her the truth.
Her counselor knows that he is a crack addict but says he has a drinking problem.
I think she might let the cat out of the bag because she keeps saying "using".
