Is he having a MOH's surgery? They say it's a 99% recovery rate with that type of surgery. But only a few dermatologist/surgeons can do it.
Basically, they remove all the skin cancer and then keep going, putting sample cells under the microscope until they see no more cancer cells. It's an all day procedure because of the wait time between every cell sample, but my mom's had it done twice now and no recurrance of the cancer either time. Do you know what "type" of skin cancer it is? I believe her's was called basil cell carcinoma or something like that.
