Sorry I'm late coming in here, but I have been in the same position as you since Monday. I had been trying to stop meds and was doing just fine until several things happened and I went spiraling into a severe depression. Finally starting to feel a bit better, but had a few ideas on "triggers". It snowed that day here...it was a new moon....the mass shootings in VA all happened on the same day. I'm sure these things affect us subconsciously, even if we're not aware of it.
As for getting old...I just turned 55 last month and I feel better about myself every year. That old commercial is true, you're not getting older, you're getting better.
