Topic Discussion threads
I'd like to propose topic discussion threads in this forum, following an Alanon-type format with personal shares, not quoting someone else in the thread, not responding directly to another share.
To share experience, strength & hope instead of giving direct advice to others.
Perhaps a short statement to start each discussion thread with? I was very lost at my first online meeting.
Looking for group ideas, discussion and concensus regarding us doing something like this.

My thought was to have a topic and anyone who would like to post a share on the thread, but without directly quoting or replying to a particular post. Kind of like shares at a meeting; to get things out, to share ES&H, without crosstalk.
A little different than we normally approach threads.
Not to replace the usual threads, just a different option.

I love the idea and think it would be healthy for each of us, old timer and newcomer alike.
Just a suggestion but sometimes to keep it "about me" and to not get drawn in to discussing so much what others say...something along the line of "What 2 things do you struggle most with in your recovery and how do you work past the hard parts?" Or..."What was your "aha" moment and how did it take you forward?"
Or maybe this isn't what you had in mind.
However you want to do it, I'll follow your lead. Thank you for caring enough to think of this.
