For me, pets are actually better than some of my family.
Their love is unconditional, unlike some family who is hardly able to communicate and much less show emotion. Although animals cant talk they seem to know things that people dont and they have their own way of communicating. I think these things make pets our best friends no matter what. Sorry for your loss.
