That depends on how you define faith.

  6. A set of principles or beliefs.
For me, it is definition 2. If I want to convey the meaning given in definition 1, I chose words that don't imply a lack of logic and evidence, which in my opinion, faith does.

Obviously, I'm only speaking for myself.
