1. Bluegrass Benefit Concert

If you love bluegrass music and recovery, this annual festival in the Richmond, Virginia area is one you don’t want to miss. The McShin Foundation, an organization that aims to spread the message of hope in recovery, puts the event together along with various partners. They gather live bands, food and other vendors for an entire day’s worth of country and sober fun for just a nominal entrance fee of $10. 2. Serenity Weekend

This event is an annual weekend celebration of fellowship and recovery in Williamsburg, Virginia. You can enjoy keynote speakers and workshops alongside other recovering and sober alcoholics who share the same commitment. You can register online for $25 or pay $30 at the door.

3. Dawn Farm Annual Ride for Recovery

For those who enjoy the outdoors or like to get active, you’ll want to attend this annual fundraiser hosted by Dawn Farm, a non-profit organization that provides recovery assistance to those who struggle with substance addiction. You can participate in either a 100K bike ride, or a 5K or 10K run along the farm. The $25 registration fee for the all-day event includes breakfast and a “Recovery Celebration” lunch.

4. National Recovery Month

Every September, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) leads Americans in observing National Recovery Month.
