| Are there any sponsors out there?
I'm brand new to the boards and could use someone to talk to... but I'm not sure how I feel about posting to the open forums... I'm wondering if there are any sponsors out there who I could just sort of vent to... I could actually use one now, I think. TIA.

Joel, I understand your caution about posting, but I can say that I've been here a long time and it's a very safe place. If you are concerned, you can always PM people and then no one else can see what you've written.

Keep posting ((( Tia ))) More importantly keep reading. There's a lot of good sobriety here at SR. If you have questions use the PM feature here and I'm sure some one will do their best to get back to you.

Welcome to SR. It's already been said, this is a pretty safe place. You can PM me or reach me by e-mail. You can always see if anyone is on-line to IM. I hope to see you around

Hi, im Sharon and im an Alcoholic. Thanks for sharing joelledkm. Just checking in to see if you are having any luck finding someone to talk to? You said you were a little leary about sharing or opening up here in an open forum. There are ways to share on here and keeping things simple and discrete. I havent a clue as to who u r. In fact ive been in SR since last Dec. and don't know anyone personally...meaning i havent met anyone in person or face to face. We all share whatever is bothering us or you share ur own experiences, strengths and hopes with others about where u r in ur recovery. Ask u you shall recieve. Guidance, suggestions. If u were to go back and read some past shares of mine or whom ever u wish u may find answers that u r looking for. Or, share a little something about urself now. Just as if u were going to a meeting. Are u in AA? Or NA? or Al-Anon? There are many topics to chose from....like Christians in Recovery. Bikers in Recovery and so on. I dont mind looking into each and reading others ESH. Its a good way to learn something. Or to recieve hope that is freely given to us. You will find those in here looking or searching for the same answers as u. If u open up a little then u will be surprised at how others will respond. Responding with out judgement or critisism. Once u get comfortable in here and stay around awhile, u will meet many warm caring people. Good luck and keep coming back. Feel free to message me anytime. Ill help u as best as i can. Thanks for letting me share.
