Hi Juls,

It's pronounced Nyree and it's a Maori name from New Zealand. It means Wildflower.

That's really beautiful. I'm glad I asked. I was afraid too because I didn't want to sound stupid. I thought maybe it was Nigerian. Total other part of the world.

I read this book, it's one of my favorites called "The Bone People," by Hulme, do you know it. The author is Maori.

Myles, your name made me smile too...I visited an art museum yesterday.. Usually I love the radiant realism of the Dutch oils, but yesterday I fell in love with the arts of New Zealand and Nigeria.
