Pms

GG, this has had to have been the worst PMS month I ever exsperiance in a long, long time. My emotions have gone wild and my thinking is just so wierd! Maybe now Im realizing how strange I am. This is horrible! My poor husband said he does not know what he is going to do when my 3 daughters get theirs! I pray that they have it mild! I'm sure my 12 year old is getting ready soon. She is ADHD,so break out the prozac for us all.

Vitamin B-6. Take 100 mg a day, then about 1 week before your period take 200 mg. a day. No fluid retention, no cramps and NO PMS!!! I am now menopausal, thank God, but I was Queen of PMS and Countess of Cramps.

Don't know why more doctors don't tell their women patients to try that. Mine did and I love her to death.

Try it - it really works!! And it is the kind of vitamin that if your body doesn't need it all, it just washes it away so to speak.

You have to buy the B-6 100 mg. size. The amount of B-6 in a multi-vitamin just doesn't cut it. It works. I have no reason to lie to you:shades: Just take one every day and two a day for the week leading up to your period.

I think you got it backwards. If you have the 50 mg. tablets, then take 2 a day (=100mg) until a week before, then double it to 4 (= 200 MG).

And Zoomer - it helps the whole month. Cramps, fluid retention, PMS, Gone!!!!

Hi Anns,
I am definately 1 week before right now!! So I am taking 200mg, right?
I'm assuming this doesn't work instantly, but I plan on staying on this regimen forEVER!!!!
I want to thank you very much!! You sound confident that this worked for you when you still needed it!!
Being NEW again in sobriety, I feel EVERYTHING more than ever!!
I am not complaining, because I am so happy to be OFF those "other" pills I thought were my life!!
God Bless You and I will definately keep you updated on my progress!!

B6 is that what you guys are talking about. I was told B12 but it never worked for me. I will try anything. I am so moody and so EMOTIONAL when I PMS it is nuts!!!!! I cry at everything and everyting is my fault and revolves around ME. Paul just walks away, he can tell a mile away when that weekis here.

So it is B6 - I will give it a try.

Hey Pauly, I go nuts too! I think it's the worst part of being a woman! I don't mean to go crazy with my hormones, but they take control over me! Speaking of which, I can't wait to get this over with!

Anns,
The reason your doctor told you is because she's a WOMAN! and knows what it's like. Unfortunately men just can't relate to our pms.

Sorry Jon in advance.

Hey Juls, how old doyou have to be for primenopose? I'm 39 and I swear I'm going though some sort of change! No, men do not understand PMS. I thought about why women have her period besides droping an egg and Ithink it's like an oil change. Women give themselves blood tranzfusions every month to make us stronger to have to keep up with everything that goes on. Just a thought?

I will be 39 in April and I think I am starting perimenapause too. The hot flashes are killing me. The other day I took Chang to the vet and they asked me if I needed to sit down or something. It was like 50 degrees out and I was sweating bullets. and when my sister took my grocery shopping last week before I got the okay to drive...oh my gosh!!!! it was a bad one!!!

I'm so out of tune with my body I have no idea what is going on! I have night sweats. I get dizzy, my back kills. I'm so use to living with pain that I just deal with it unless it gets real bad, then I go to the doctors. Do yo get dizzy too and headaches? I feel like such a baby. Growing up I did't really have any one to talk to about woman stuff except for my best guy friend, but he was a guy. After I drink a cup of coffee, boy do I sweat! think that's a good thing right?

Hot flashes and menopausal mood swings - Black Cohosh, Evening Primrose Oil, Dong Quoi...worked for a while, I finally chucked it all and got hormones..ahhhhh what a relief. I know, I know...all the talk about not taking hormones....well you just wait and see. Those hot flashes will kill you.

Hi Zoomer and Juls,

Zoomer you don't need to be any particular age for perimenopause. It can start in the late 30's.

That's funny Ann's, but I'm not there yet. LOL Actually the evening primrose oil seems to be helping. Right not I only get the hot flashes at night. They're so weird. It's this strangest sensation of heat all the way up my spine. The other night, it was pretty cold in the bedroom, but I had my fan on high and an icepack on my back.

Zoomer, I've had bad backaches too. Also headaches. Caffeine is not supposed to be good, because it is supposed to make one more susceptible to hot flashes, but I'm not ready to give up my cup of java in the morning.

The idea of menopause really depresses me because I feel like this is really the onset of old age, and I don't want to face that. I have so many bizarre aches and pains now.

There are times when I'm so irritable I wish someone would say something to me so I could get into a fight.

I missed my cycle for three months, then had one for two weeks.

Plus, I was born with two uteruses and three kidneys. I was hoping that having two uteri would delay my menopause for a good long time, but I guess not. I'm glad we have this women's board to discuss all this stuff. It really helps getting feedback from all the other women here.

Zoomer,

That's what the Dr. said, that I had started out to be twins, but that's as far as it went. The way I found this all out was when Iwas 17 I went to get fitted for a diaphragm. I have only one opening so to speak, but when the Dr. examined me she found I had what was called a double-barelled vagina. (God, I hope no guys are reading this LOL). Each vaginal canal led to it's own cervix and to it's own uterus.

All this was determined by doing a dye x-ray, and that's how they found the extra kidney. It is full size and functions normally. The doc said the uterus and kidneys are formed at the same time. The condition I have occurs in about 1 in ten million. Sometimes I think about what would have happend if I'd kept on developing into a twin.

I do feel like a dual personality alot of times. LOL

My son was conceived and born in my right uterus, and my daughter in my left. They were both breech, and I had to have c-sections for both deliveries.

Pretty wild huh?

Hey Juls, no not wierd, but pretty cool! Now I was born breach, so you kids must do things ass backwards too, or maybe not because they were born C-section! Now, I wonder if you did have twins and each one was born in a seprate utirous, if they would actually be twins, or two babies born at the same time? Strange! Wow, too neat! Do you get studied a lot? I mean by doctors? You must be a very interesting case to the OBGYN world and all!
