| to all the ladies.
Hello ladies, I haven't been much of a greeter lately, and for good reason. Many of you know, but for those of you who don't. My husband had a heart attack on fri 3/17, on Wed 3/22 he had a quadruple bypass. It's been a whirl wind of a week. Between spending most of my time at the hospital, and some time with my kids, I haven't had too much of a chance to pop in here. Things should be quieting down soon. He should be coming home on Tues. Even though it will not be back to 'normal' around here for a while, we will be able to get back into some sort of routine around here. It will get really busy around here once I have to start planning the fund-raisers with my BIL. Steve doesn't have health insurance and he will be out of work for about 3 to 4 months. We are going to be planning a benefit concert and some other things to help raise money to cover medical and living expenses. (although I think planning fund raisers is fun, shh) Thank you all for keeping us in your prayers and helping us get through this. I'll be keeping all of you in my prayers as well. Thanks for being so understanding. Laurie

Thanks Ladies. he is doing so well today. He looks great and has a great attitude. Last night I had a major melt down. I just started crying and couldn't seem to stop. It helped though. I feel much better today and my mind seems clearer. It's been so hard to see him like this. He is 6'1" and a strong man. To see him struggle to catch his breath and shuffle like an old man when he walks has been so difficult. I'm just not used to seeing him down like this. He's never been sick the entire time we've been together. I don't like it on this side of the fence. He will be home either tomorrow afternoon or Tues morning. I can't wait.

So glad you have turned the corner......you have endured so many things in the past months. ....and yet you have managed to keep it all running, and you have Managed! Keep up the positive attitude, and cry if you need to by all means. Welcome home your healthier man.

He's home!!! They discharged him today. Now the job of raising money to pay for all of this and keep us going until he goes back to work (sometime in July). We've started setting up fund-raisers and a medical fund, but it will take some time to get things going. (like I need an addition job, lol) I'm just glad he's home and OK. He can't do much, he isn't allowed to use his arms for 3 months, so I will be doing most things around here as well as taking care of him, but that's OK. He would do the same for me. I'm just so happy he's home I want to burst.

(((Laurie & Steve))) Wow, what a scare for you and your family. I'm relieved for you that Steve is doing well and home. I've done the hospital vigil thing and it's very draining. You're all together and the rest will work itself out. My thoughts and prayers will be with all of you during this healing time. hugs, deedee |
