Reflections

As I sit here looking out my window, this first day of the year 2003, I cant help but feel nostalgic. So many changes and hurdles we have all took. From little success to HUGE victories.
I want to take a moment and to thank all of you for share some of yours with me and for allowing me to share mine with you. You all have came to me in my time of need, time of fun, and just because. I truly believe that WE have all played a part in the journeys WE have took togeather. I look forward to embarking on this New Year with all of you!

Happy New Year!

Hey pie, ditto for me! I am going to go out in the real world and find a group of woman tying to better themselves. I love cyber space and my friends here, but I am ready for a little more! I'm scard of rejection, but we will see. I did't get rejected here,so maybe there are woman out there that can be real. I'm not sure what issues I want to work on first,I have sooooo many, but I think lonilyness can cripple a person just as much as any drug or drink! Today,I'm relaxing, tommorrow I'm hitting the phone book!

Thank you all. You are crucial to me. I committed to myself to come here every day....and thank you, Pie, for making sure I get at least a hi everyday, you have given me much more.
We share our struggles and they grow lighter.
I haven't had enough time lately, but everyday I wonder how my friends are.
It is good to have many kinds of friends in many places, I have found some of my best friends in books, then here where there is dialogue, and in the real world, in meetings and daily life.
But this 24 hr 7 day a week support is unique in that it is here for us always, any day any time, any circumstance..
Many thanks!

Books!

Hey Live, I'm with you on the book part. I feel though the books were my companions! I swear I find that if I'm going through something, I just happen to pick out a book that I can relate to at that time. Now of course there is always a logical exsplanation, but I rarely go looking for any given book, I'm more like impulsive in my choosing. When I was going through my episode a few months back, I basically was terrified for the world and the reprocussins that we as humans are causing. I was thinking about the new age scientist who want toget rid of "sickness" by process of elimination, sort of like Hitler did and well,it's too deep togo intoo. Anyway,I bought some old books from our library and one book was so informational and sort of like I was going through, this is after the fact. It's called Voice of the Planet! by Michael Tobias. Of course I never did "hear voices",but it's interesting all the same! O and a new book is out called ONE DOOR AWAY FROM HEAVEN! That had my fears in a nutshell too. I picked it up after the fact too! Good reads!
