That's great Splendra and Bikewench! We know what we need to do to take care of ourselves, we just need to do it. That's empowering and satisfying.

I refused to listen to my own intuition. Ex # 2 MICD (mentally ill chemicaly dependent) PTSD VietNam vet had lived with his parents, then wife # 1, then wife # 2 who then divorced him for bigamy because he forgot to divorce wife # 1. Then an exotic dancer who used rattlesnakes for her prop. Then back to his parents when I met him. Oh my I really blew it. But I forgive myself now and can laugh about it. Never say never but I don't think I can ever get involved romantically again. MamaGoose

Could we have avoided all the heart ache? Or did our HP decide we needed to go through it? MamaGoose

I didn't listen to the subtle warnings either, I was busy being loyal. When I tried to tell a later one, she didn't want to couldn't hear me either. I am sure he has told her I am chasing him. And also tried to make her jealous. It is a weird phenomenon, and whether we listen or not depends greatly on what they tell us of their exs, pre-shaping our response. ??????
