Talking Did you know!

Did you know...
While both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each
year, according to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, male reindeer drop
their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to
mid-December. Female reindeer retain their antlers until after they give
birth in the spring.

Therefore, according to every historical rendition depicting Santa's
reindeer, every single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen - had to be a
girl.

We should've known. Only women would be able to drag a fat-ass man in a
red velvet suit all around the world in one night and not get lost.

Exclamation Keep Me In Your Prayers

My sponsor is in Alaska, my #2 sponsor moved to Minnesota and I fell down the stairs and crunched my foot and ankle, only to don a pretty cast and swollen toes. It hurts, I ve been thru worse but it hurts.

The sticky part is they gave me some pain meds and I feel very vulnerable. I called some folks in the area and they will be around to help me out. I just have a lot of old stuff popping up in the ole negative committee is a going strong.

I am so greatful to you are all here and that you understand why I feel a bit cautious. Its only for a couple days and I'll be getting a walking cast. I pray....

Thanks for listening and all the love and support you give to me.

Thanks for the funny to help ease the pain and let me feel some love.

Love in Recovery,
Jennifer J.

Sorry about the cast! it must be a real "pain"! I had a cast on my leg at 12 and I use to skate board with it on. I would leave clumps of it as i zoomed along. Ha, the doctor said he was going to put my leg in cast iron if I did't knock it off! ha, I just took the cast off myself one day because I did't want to hear the doctor yell at me! Actally i broke both of my ankels, but never got the other one fixed. I now have very thick ankels that hurt at times. Be good to yourself and go easy on the pills If you have lots of pills left over, then you know you were not just trying to get high!

Love to you Zoomer

I made it to today! Smile! Rough nite but I stayed up and played backgammon to get my mind off the pain.

Thanks for the sharing, you must be very adventurous to skateboard with a cast on!

Back to bed for me.

Jennifer J

Hey Jen, I'm glad you made it through the night! What color cast do you have? I know they have different colors now! Ha, when I was a kid I don't think I was adventerous, just not supervised! My skate board to me was just a part of me and I felt like I was missing a part of my soul if I could not ride. I still rember the magic of feeling like I was dancing on air when I rode.Freedom from everything and in a world all my own. A natural high I guess. Plus i was always the one to rebel for some unknown reason. Ha, tell me no, and I would do it sometimes. Unfortunatly I got into a lot of trouble with that! When you get your walking cast or are able to walk with your cast, learn how to dance with it on! It's all a part of showing yourself I can have fun, i can beat any odds, I'm crazy and I like myself because I'm silly! If i had a cast on right now, I'd draw pictures on it or paint my toe nails bright red. You can also be creative and make half socks for your toes and decorate them. your kids would like that too. Make silly socks with faces and yarn for hair. Beat the blues!

Hey I have to tell you something about my mom that is driving me crazy. she has cancer, she does the chemo (she has had the big C 12 years). Anyway, she is throwing up, can't eat sometimes and no hair... swear to you my mother is loving it! She can put on a sexy wig, fake lashes, and she is wearing all the clothes the young girls do. Men actally whistle at my mother and all the attention is making her feel good about herself! ha, so just lay back and let them cater to you! You lucky dog you! Sit down chorse ha! Your loving it admit it!

Just to let you know Jen that most people when they first start recovering have accidents. Maybe it's a balance thing or maybe God is showing who is boss. It does slow us down and we have thinking time and also something to look foward to other than the first drink and drug! maybe by the time this is all over, you'll be greatful that you can do the dishes! ha, for me that will never happen, i hate dishes and use paper plates as often as I can!
