| Still feeling better on day 8
It's been eight days. I heard someone say in an NA meeting last night that we shouldn't count days because we'll get to a point where we've felt we've done good enough and now it's time to "celebrate". I feel, and I guess this is where people do recover in different ways, that if I count the days, it gives me the encouragement I need to keep going. No more shaking. None yesterday and I haven't shaken at all this morning. That is so nice. I could hardly brink a drink to my lips without wearing most of it. My kids were starting to think I needed a bib. lol. At the same time I'm feeling better, I also feel I need to continue and look back at how I did suffer, using and recovering so I'm always reminded of what lay ahead of me, or worse, if I relapse again. That helps too. It scares the daylights out of me and I never ever ever want to go through that again. It was shear hell for me and my family. Thanks for everything. You guys are the greatest friends and supporters. Jessica |

Hey - Way to go!!! You are doing great. And believe me I counted the days, and as each day grew I became more grateful and wanted the next day sober also. Somewhere along the way I stopped counting, maybe I should start again. God Bless!!!
