Not Sure

Hi,i Had A Using Dream Last Night, well Actually I Was Fixing To Use, I Had Stolen Money From My Fiance And Waited Till He Went To Work, And I Also Found My Drug Paraphanillia In The Bathroom,so I Was Going To Call Up My Dopedealer And Have Him Deliver Some Dope Well Anyways Before I Could Do That My Alarm Went Off About 6:25 This Morning, and I Went To Mass At 7:00 Till 7:30 And Then Went To A 7:30 Meeting And Now I'm Here All By Myself Cleaning And You Know Doing What Housewives Do. I Did Take The Power Out Of Me Having That Dream By Telling Someone In Recovery. I'm Scared That I'm Not Going To Suceed This Time Again, maybe I Need To Have Just A Little More Faith In My Higher Power. What Do You Think?

Well in my opinion, we can never have enough faith.

I too had a using dream recently, it scared the heck out of me. It was very real. uor disease never sleeps it just waits for us to put our guard down.

You did the right thing, you took the power away from it by sharing it. Keep sharing about what is going on, our secrets feed our disease.

Using dreams are very common, especially in early sobriety. Most dreams are about people, places and things that are familiar...that we remember. The only way to stop our memory is to get a labodomy. Little by little our memory will become filled with sober thoughts and experiences, and the using dreams will become more rare. Keep talking about what you are experiencing and keep the faith.

I still have using dreams every now and then. I had a couple last last week. I wake up grateful that it was just a dream. The dreams are just reminders of where we don't want to be. Today I get to celebrate 3yrs clean and sober. I had using dreams every night for the first 90days now I have them once every 5 or 6 months. Just hang in there and keep talking to people about them.
