I have a good question for anyone who has had this done. Is it me or are you more hormanl? I have never been one who has suffered from the dreaded PMS syndrome, but since I had my tubes cut and tied it seems as if anything can set me off. i hate feeling this way. That and quite truthfull all of a sudden I am a totl horndog. It is as if I have discovered that there is something called sex all over again. If this subject is something that you wish to discuss privatly PM me. Please know that I am not the faint of heart typ[e and am open and honest about everything so offending me is impossible. I just don't understand where this is coming from. One minute I am fine and the next I feel like ripping someone's head off. That and for some reason I am getting horrible headaches all of a sudden right before I start my period.Anyway any input is greatly welcomed. Heather

It sounds like you could be ovulating a lot since your surgery which could be causing the mood swings. The desire for more sex may have to do with not being worried about getting pregnant. An herb called "evening primrose" helped me get over my mood swings and also helped my period not be so painful. The head ache problem and the mood swings does indicate that there is some imbalance going on. You also could use a good multi-vitamin formulated for women.....

Heather, you don't say how old you are. Is perimenopause possible? I had my tubes tied years ago. I never experienced those symptoms. I think Splendra has some good ideas too. (as always...thanks, Splendra! )Shalom!

Heather, I had my tubes tied years ago, shortly after having my youngest son, while in the middle of my 4th step. I'm not sure WHAT caused the mood-swings. *lol* I'm just feeling silly and sarcastic this morning. sorry. I don't remember feeling much worse than I normally did, but I was also doing the 'post-partum depression' thing. Hope you find out what you need to know.

Hi, I had my tubes tied and other than feeling totally delighted that I had it done and never had to worry about getting pregnant again I didn't have any side affects. Maybe a trip to the doctor just to get checked. Are you of perimenopause age? Ngaire |

Yes yes yes yessssssss, I thought it was just me !!!!!!!! I had my tubes tied after my last son when I was 31. The week before my period I am a total mood swinging nut. Also my periods will be light one month and exetremely heavy the next. The worst was a couple of weeks ago I had an argument with my boss and the next thing I know I just went off. Then he went off back at me and I just broke out bawling....my boss stood there just horrified. The next day I was like what the heck happened ????..all day the next day my boss kept asking if I was ok and saying he was soo sorry...I didn't have the guts to tell him I was just being a hormonal loon.. :Lmao This never was like this until I had my tubes tied |

Babe, You are so living my life or I am living yours. Either way I am so not an emotional person. It's like when I pissed everybody stay away. If I am upset I will cry over stupid commercials even. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH I hate this. I thought that this would be the easy way of birth control and in the 4 months that it has been I have become a whole other person. Thanks for letting me know that I am not alone in this. HEather

I had my tubes tied in my early 30's. My sex drive was much stronger because I never feared pregnancy. I did develop awful migraines from the hormone that starts my period, but I am 46 and that started several years after the tubal. Good luck, and let us know what your DR says. The hormone instabilities and headaches drive quite a number of us crazy. live

I had mine when I was 30 and yes, I began to have awful PMS! The evening primrose Splendra speaks of worked for me (by the way, it also works for booze cravings ) I got so bad at times the only thing that would work for me was xanax. But I was also just beginning my career in alcoholism and booze and coffee also contribute to PMS. Calcium also calmed me down. Good luck with the doctor.... hope it's a woman! |

Yep my Dr. is a women. A wonderfully blunt woman. I love that about her. I have yet to understand why it is that men feel compelled to become doctors for women. As if they understand how our minds and bodies work. I have yet to go to a male doctor who understands what we go through as women. Heather

Heather I was just gonna let you know that I talked to a lady that is a nurse and she said we may need to talk to our doctor about getting on the pill to kind of keep our hormones in check. You know I could have got on the pill in the first place and avoided surgery grrrrrr. |

WTF I had the surgery to avoid the Pill because of all the health problems that it can have. See another reason to not like my dear husband at this moment if he would have gotten fixed none of this would be going on. Heather

LOL yep she was telling me all this stuff about strogen and the pill getting you leveled with hormone and I was just thinking why did the doc not tell me this in the first place. But you know my mood swings are so bad and my periods are so screwed up I'm willing to try anything. I know we can not be the only 2 women a tubal has done this too...I also find it strange we were about the same age when we had it done and we didn't have problems until we had it done |

Nope, ladies, not a Texas thing and if you're special then I guess I am too! I was 22 when I had my tubal done...after my third pregnancy, second live birth by c-section. I never had a single PMS episode or cramps or headaches or anything prior to the tubal. Ever since though I am just like you two, extreme mood swings, heavy one month, barely there the next, SEVERE cramping...but my doctor (a man no less!) refused to put me on the pill. Said it wasn't necessary...good thing I wasn't PMS'ing when he said it!! He gave me Xanax instead, said I was stressed! That didn't last very long...I went through the script a lot faster than I was supposed to...imagine that!!! You know Heather...I've heard it said that a woman hits her "prime" around 30 or so...I guess that's when our biological clock kicks in and the primal urge to recreate hits us hardest??? Anyway, perhaps that has something to do with your wanting sex all the time. Plus like the other girls said, you don't have to worry about getting pregnant!
