Hi everybody out there, I haven't been around posting much latley, but I have been keeping up with the posts. Thanks for all of the support everyone gave when I lost my puppy Nikki. The first 24 hrs were the roughest and thanks for the stories of the Rainbow bridge. We all know the promises of this program do come true. The program also allowed me to have a relationship with my H.P. and friends in this room that gave me the miracle that happened the day after Nikki died. My oldest cat Tibbt had gotten out of my daughters window and had been missing for about 4 days before the accident. She is an indoor cat, no front claws, and never spent any time outdoors. I was sick about this and then losinf Nikki, I couldn't imagine anything worst. I was full of blame, resentment and sadnesss. Here's the miracle. The next day, it had snowed and was very cold. I was coming in from my garage and I heard a faint meow. I caledd out and said where's my Tibby at and in response there was another tiny meow. I called her and she kept talking until, THERE SHE WAS!!!! I dugg up into the thick bush and grabbed her and ran into the house as fast as my legs would go. She was pretty thin, but no injuries. One might think this is corney, but now I do believe what some of you said about Nikki being with me. I really believe she went and found Tibby and told her to get her hinney home. Some are asking what does this have to do with recovery, and for me it's like they say, My H.P will not give me more than I can handle, but in order for me to handle anything I have to stay sober. I'm so thankful for the support I received here and thanks for allowing me to share again today. May God bless all. Stephanie |

Dear Stephanie I am so glad you cat is safe. My Toby (a sweet orange tabby) brings me such joy and comfort, and I know that I would be heart-broken to lose him. Anytime I just need a hug, Toby is right there for me and it is almost therapeutic to have him around.

Steph - I understand exactly what you are saying, HE does not give us more than we can handle. And animals as Ann said, I also believe are theraputic. I love my cat that Ihave had for 5 years and my new puppy I got 2 weeks ago like there is no tomorrow. Last December I lost my dog Scottie after15 years!!!! God bless you and you are doing great with your recovery!!!! Keep posting - we need you!
