i celebrated new years sober for the first time in about 7 years or so. it was kind of awkward at first, then i wanted to drink, then i decided that it wasn't worth it. so 4 of us watched movies and drank about 7 pots of coffee instead. we ended up having a great time...sober...and i am pleased to say that i made it through just fine and i'm still sober today

one day at a time for me here, and life is so much easier. anyway, just wantd to share that with you all

This is my first New Year sober too. That I can remember anyway. I struggled a little with the urges but I got through it. It will be so nice to have the Holiday Season behind us.

WAY TO GO !!

You should be proud and happy to realize that you don't need to use anything to have a good time in life. Staying clean/sober through a slippery time is strength built up to resist the next one. Good For You!!

wooohooo samatha!! good for you! well....this was the 1st xmas & new years that i was sober in 17 yrs, and it was the most GREATEST feeling in the world! I watch the ball drop! lol
