Painful day. - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

Hello Ladies,

I already posted all of the details in the NA forum, so I won't go into them again. I had a sponsee relapse yesterday, and I just found out about it today. I have become very close with this woman, and this hurts really bad. I have been crying for a while now.

Since I am pretty tough as a sponsor, I already read her the riot act, and put things bluntly, but she knows that is my way, and that I love her. I am picking her up later for the meeting tonite. This should be an interesting tear fest tonite.

In these times we must remember that we are all human and relapse is a part of recovery. You must be grateful she is back and did not continue on the distructive path for she may have wound up dead but she didn't so what you are doing is still working she made it back. Time for her to maybe add something more to her program.
