JFT Poem (for the bad days) - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

I just got this poem from my sponsor and sister in sponsorship. I really liked it and wanted to share it will you guys. You can substitute the work use with what ever cause you life to become unmanigable.

Just For Today
Credited to the original sender: ~GhOsT DoGg~

I did not use
Today the pain was so great that all I could do
was not use
I did not fall behind in my recovery
I did not use
Today I did not like what life had to offer
I did not sing in the shower today
I made no new friends
I did not use
The pain of what I went through today
tested my recovery to its limits
I did not smile all day
I was not alright with me today
I did not use
Today I did not come closer to God
I am a recovering drug addict
I want to use
If all I can say that I accomplished today is
I did not use
Then
Today I am a winner
I did not use

Thanks Jenn. I have a lot of days like that. It feels good to know that I can accomplish SOMETHING on those days. Not using for me, HAS to be my number one priority or else I have nothing.
