| HI everyone
Hi everyone, my name is Beth C. and I'm so grateful to find this forum, especially the women's section. I have finally come to love and rely on the women in the program to help guide me through this program. I have been in this program for 3 1/2 years now, after starting to drink alcoholically about 4 years ago (late blooming alkie...lol) I have struggled , and not reached the 1 yr mark, as of yet......6 mths a few times, 9 mths a few times. Today I have 2 1/2 months , after drinking for one night back in August. This time I have finally REALLY started to reach out to the women in the program, and am amazed out how good that feels.I'm doing some other different things as well, getting involved in service work (you may have seen my post about our upcoming conference) and am enjoying getting involved and not just sitting on the outskirts of AA. Thank you to all the women in recovery for being here to show me hope and a better way of life. You are all blessings in my life. I'll be back on a regular basis.

Hi Beth Nice to meet you. I've been sober for one month. I'm also a late blooming alkie. Sneaky disease, catches you off guard when you least expect it! I'm so grateful for AA, love the meetings, especially the women's meeting I go to on Saturday mornings. I plan on asking someone to be my sponsor tomorrow; little nervous about the whole thing, but what the hell, all they can do is say no, right? Have a beautiful day.

Thanks for the welcome Tobia, and congratulations on your 1 month Connie, don't be nervous about asking someone to sponsor you, my experience has been that most WANT to help you if you are willing to do the work. Have a blessed day!!

Hi Beth: Welcome! My name is cj and I am a recovering addict. I have only been a part of this forum for about 2 months, but I can tell you that it has been extremely helpful in my recovery. The women in this forum are some of the nicest people I have never met!! My recovery circle at home is small and women are scarce at meetings, so I have been blessed to know all who come here. I hope you will keep coming back so that my circle will continue to grow. (I'm so selfish!!) cj |
