Thanks Anna! Hello Helen and all who post after me (smile).

I'm pooped and would like to go to bed early tonight--after a delicious steak and acorn squash dinner with Mr Ringo and a little TV.

Today I helped with Bike To Work Day 5:30-9am. Awake at 4am to be there to set up at 5:15am. We "worked" two Energizer Stations--passing out freebies to the riders; food and snacks too. 205 total peddled by.

Years ago, I never thought I'd view sacrifice and service to others as fun!

Ringo, that does sound like fun, but I suspect you'll be tired this evening.

Thanks Anna!!!

Hi all...hope everyone is geared up for the weekend! I've had back issues all day today. Think I might have pinched a nerve. Been rubbing Bengay on it and pain patches. I hope it's better tomorrow...such a PITA!

xoxo

Another thanks to our brave leader.

I've been out of the loop for a bit but back at it.

Today: 45 min of yoga, got a hair cut and bought myself an electric toothbrush.

Good morning Sisters.

I got a bit more decluttering done in the laundry room yesterday. At this rate I will be done by September! LOL So yes I am hoping to give it another hour or two today. I still haven't gotten into the garden so that is on my list too. And my daughter is coming down for the weekend

Have a good one everyone.

BeKind, my dentist told me to keep a gentle grip on my electric toothbrush as my last exam showed a little wear and tear on the gum at two molars. Didn't know my own strength!

Helen, hope you enjoy your daughter's company in this weekend. Mr. Ringo and I have been trying to get an answer from our daughter who lives in Idaho as to when we can come visit. We've asked three times... I'm ok, no resentment. Some things I just have to accept.

Anna, I was tired last night and thankfully slept well. Looking forward to the weekend.

Hubby's co-worker gave him a small brick of Scrapple which we plan to fry up with eggs tomorrow for brunch.

Road my bike to work today for my "one thing I did for myself".

Hi Ladies,

Cold again here...normally it would be 70s-80s... Cuddling up with a book, just did my nails and doing laundry. Back is still tweaking...heating pad helps.

Helen: Good job on the decluttering. It will feel good when the project is finished.

Ringo: Great idea to ride your bike to work!

Bekind: Welcome back!

Take care everyone and enjoy your Friday evening!

Today I managed to fix something that needed a simple re-set on my laptop so I could use it properly - I'm so thrilled I managed to follow online instructions and do it myself instead of asking a family member, or (worse) paying for an expert to do a two-second adjustment.
Really thrilled!

Hi everyone!

Thanks Anna for the new thread! I loved what you posted. How nice to think I have a bunch of sisters!

Caramel- I am glad you were able to reset your laptop to get it working properly! It is nice to be able to do that ourselves.

Helen- you are on a roll with the house work! I know you will have a great time with your daughter.

Ringo- Your lunch tomorrow sounds great I have never had scrapple.

CreativeThinker- I hope your back gets to feeling better.

Bekindalways- good to see you back!

I walked 2 miles, took my vitamins, and did laundry.
I also sit in the sun for 45 minutes or so.

Happy Saturday Ladies!

Caramel: Don't you just love it when you're able to figure out a computer glitch on your own? That feeling of accomplishment and relief is awesome!

Ringo: I've never had scrapple either. What is it?

Helen: Your house must be spotless by now!

I got up this morning and made blueberry muffins. Back is much better so went for a long powerwalk...felt amazing...worked off the blueberry muffin I ate. It will take me a week to work off the cherry crumble and vanilla ice cream I ate last night...

Have a great Saturday everyone!

Scrapple is sort of a Pennsylvania Dutch thing.

I absolutely love it but it's really not all that good for you so my helpings are very few and far between.

I prefer it sliced thinly and cooked to a crispy crust.

Enjoy, Ringo.

Well another busy day around the house. So for my reward I'm in my jammies at 6pm sitting in the sunroom reading with all my furbabies! Lol Mr. Troy is on his way here so we will have a late dinner together. Hope you are all having a great weekend.

Helen, enjoy reading and then your dinner with MrTroy.

CT, Blueberry muffins are one of my favourites. I'm glad you enjoyed your walk and that your back is feeling better. A sore back can really slow you down.

Bekindalways, I don't have a clue how to knit with beads. It sounds like it would be really pretty. Maybe you can show us a picture when you're finished.

Midwest, genuine Vitamin D from the sun is such a healthy thing. You always impress me with your devotion to fitness.

Ringo, it's awesome that you could ride your bike to work. And, I am too aggressive with my toothbrush too.

I had my daughter and family over for supper today to celebrate Mother's Day. My flowers are flourishing and they make me smile.

Happy Mother's day!!

Anna- the flowers sound really pretty. I am glad you were able to see your daughter and her family.

Helen- I hope you enjoy your weekend with Mr. Troy.

I brush to hard too. My dentist told me only to use soft bristle tooth brushes.

Happy Mother's Day! I've already walked the dogs several times and even took Billie with me for a ride to the store for a few things.

Sounds like everyone is having a good weekend.
