my meds making me feel shaky.

My meds had me acting really shaky yesterday. The stuff does not cause weight gain which is a huge plus. Now I was on the computer and my vision went blurry. Then I was shaky and feeling uncomfortable. I just started taking it so I guess I should give it a few days. However it kinda made me feel like I was on coke(don't like that at all) also had a drug dream which I used in first time in a long long time. Was trying to make any excuse possible in the dream. I really did not like that and for a small amout of time I thought about getting high. If these conbtinue to happen I will stop there are to many medications out there to take one that makes me want to use. So I will give it a few more days. I simply prayed and talked myself out of wanting to use. However, I do not like it one bit. The medicine is almost like when I took diet pills that shaky feeling. Like to much caffine. So I am going to give it today and tomorrow to descide because it does take some getting used to a new medicine. Well maybe a week.Yeah I think a week. I am a bit blurred this morning but thats all. That shaky feeling is not here. However, it started to happen around one o'clock yesterday.

I would like to suggest that you call the doctor and tell him/her of these symptoms. Sometimes side effects like these can lead to other problems. Especially with the blurred vision. Ask your doctor some questions. Are these normal side effects? How long can I expect it to last? How long should I wait to see if they go away? How long for this medication to get fully into my system?

I don't think you should just wait on something that is making you feel like using. You got through yesterday, and so far today, but what if something else happens while you are feeling like this. I don't think you should tempt fate.

I agree with namommy here. For some reason we think we need to wait and give things a chance to work, I have done the same thing in the past. When I broke my shoulder my neighbor a health care worker explained to me that is the WRONG thing to do. You call the dr, tell them your symptoms and they make the decision if you should wait or not. The dr knows the kind of things that should happen and what is safe and what is not.

Especially it being Friday, you need to call TODAY and get this taken care of, k?

the medication is Geodon. I wanted to let all you ladies know that I have not had anymore symptoms since the first day I took the eighty milligram dose. I feel a little shaky but nothing like the first day. it is very mind feeling. A feeling of well shakiness but it's nothing like that first day. My heart don't feel bad, my eye sight is still slitly blurred but it was always just more so now(could be medication,coul;d be me not wearing glasses can't afford to get them fifty bucks)I no longer have the urge to use. So I am thinking I will be ok. I haven't seen a change mood wise yet but I realize that takes time. I am stoked because there is no weight gain. That's a plus. A huge plus. So ladies I am well and wanted to let you all know. I also slept through the night and didn't wake up to eat anything which is huge for me too. Have a great day ladies I will keep you all posted.

I still think you should call the dr., it can't hurt. We like to tell ourselves that we are okay, the dr should be the one to do that. Call and ask, k?
