| The Big Book?
As you all know, I'm new to AA and the board. I've gone to 3 meetings since Sat night. Interesting how each one was so different with totally different type of people. But I've gotten so much out of each one. Someone would say one small comment that really hit home for me. I keep hearing about this "Big Book". What is it? Where do I get it? Would you recommend me getting it? Lara |

I am glad you are enjoying the meetings. And I agree, often meetings are very different, and I enjoy that too, with different people from all walks of life. The Big Book, is the Alcohalics Annonymous book, and YES you should get one, you can get one at a meeting. If you listen someone during the first few minutes of the meeting should say that there are books for sale at cost. If you don't hear that it is okay ask someone after the meeting, or before it does not matter. And they can point you in the direction to get the book. Keep up the GREAT work.

| Thanks Paulie!!
Thanks Paulie! I will get it tomorrow night when I go to the next meeting. It's an all female one so I'm really looking forward to it. By the way, looking forward to the series? I was horrified to find out that my nephew is a....gasp....Red Sox fan!!! He's only 5 months old so I know it's his parents wicked influence. Not sure where it came from though b/c they both grew up in NY and live in Stamford, CT. Then you have my husband, daughter and I all Yankee fans up here in the heart of Red Sox country - Boston. While you are at that meeting listen to the women talk, it would be great to find a sponsor soon to give you some one on one support. I live in CA, pretty far from NY LOL. I became a Yankee fan a few years ago during the subway series. My husband is and a's fan, makes things fun around here. I did go to a few Yankee games a couple years ago when I was on vacation in NY. totally different atmosphere then baseball here in CA. You are right, it will be a great series....I will be watching tonight.
