Going Back to the Dr, today!!! - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

Hey ya'll...remember I had some tests done last month (from my well-women check-up) well I'm going back today!! I took that HIV test, even though I a, so very sure I don't have that, I'm getting results today!!!!!
I swear I've been thinking of every guy I've slept with!

It's kinda scary! lol
Well, I'll letcha all know how it goes, oh ya, & I'm going to a psyciatist <---(can't spell it right!lol ) in 2 more days, my dr wants me to! I never been to one, she thinks I need more meds, I swear, I'm gonna tell him I think I am ADHD, cuz I never finish anything...i start something & then go do something else, and so forth, like I'll be doing 10 things at once, laundry, dishes, reading newspaper, cleaning something else etc.......and I don't get nuthin' done!! well, 3 outta 10 I'll get done, but I drive myself nutz! lol

Butterfly, good luck with the dr today. You're brave to confront the fear and have the HIV test done.

As for the psychiatrist, if your dr recommends it, then it's probably a good idea for you and like you said he might be able to help you. Sometimes family drs are too slow to pick up on problems that should be dealt with and you have to be the one to figure things out and tell them! Hope all goes well.

BFC, I can totally relate. When I went to get mine when I got prego I knew it was negative. Then I went again after my using heoin and needles that was such a scary time so scary I never went back for results. Then I had another and did the same. When I got pregnant few years back had one and went back after a week of fear and praying it was so hard. By the grace of God I am h.i.v. free but the wait was traumatizing. It had to be the scariest time of my life. I was a prostitute and used and shared needles even with one girl I was sure to have it. I can totally relate to your fears and I will say a prayer for you. I am sure you will be fine. As 51anna said you are brave because I ditched two or three times getting the results out of fear.

Good luck...you're much braver than I am. I've been wondering for years if I might be HIV positive, but haven't mustered up the courage to take a test.

Thanks for everyones concern...my appointment went AWSOME, I got negative results on all my tests!!!! I kinda had the feeling I would have, but still, that "ify" chance was floating thru my mind every once in a while, & I would get a little nervous, but I'm OK!!! My dr was like saying how she thought I was really a lucky person for as many years as I used meth/speed that I never caught anything! I said No doc, my angel were watching over me! Ü
But really, being compulsive as i am, I am a clean/neat person, so when I was using, I was obsessivly clean/neat freak, especially about my bosy! I've always taking care of myself, well...in a sense! lol
