|  What a powerful experience!
Hi everyone! I spoke at an AA meeting on Sunday - a big meeting! It went terrific. I prayed that morning and was touched that my boyfriend prayed with me. He's got a lot more time in the program than I do. While I shared, I cried, and I was more honest than I have ever been in my life. I don't remember most of what I said and yet I spoke for over 30 minutes, maybe 40! Afterwards, there were so many people lined up to hug me, and some were crying and thanked me for my courage and hope. I was especially touched when a young girl who is currently in detox said she identified so much with me and felt like she could get clean and sober after hearing my message. How gratifying is that? I was hugged over and over again. I have NEVER experienced such an outpouring of love. I went home, lay on the couch and cried my eyes out! So many emotions! I didn't realize people loved me! I didn't know my past experience could help others, not like this! Helping others - it's the most wonderful feeling. And it really helped me too. WOW Thanks for listening. Love Rowan  |

That my friend is what keeps me coming. Your courage is awsome. You have possibly saved a life. I am so very proud of you for facing your fears and speaking. I just love to hear these stories it just gives me goose bumps thinking about it. Way to go. Congradulations on your taking another step in the right direction.

Rowan, YEAHHHHH!!!!! I am so totally thankful for people like you...at every meeting, when someone shares from the heart..it means so MUCH! Sometimes, the tears :cry3: are the lubricant to get the words rolling, and sometimes it is the other way around!
