I guess I'm on the down-low cuz in a way, I feel uncomfortable because my family is not too happy about the whole situation, all they know is what happened in the past, him hurting me, me in the hospital...do u remember that post back in Nov??? I mean accidents happen & forgiving is easy, but we were both messed up mentally! I want to give us another chance, I think it's worth it! Now if he goes back to acting crappy to me & not helping out w/bills then he's OUT!

Like I told you on another post...take care of you first, if your family sees you taking care of you and him taking care of him (which means him treating you well too) they will change.

I just married 3 weeks ago a man that I used with for years and he mistreated me alot when we used, well we mistreated each other. My family was leary about us getting together after we got sober, today if they had to choose I think they would choose him over me

Time, it takes time for the ones that love us to forgive ones that hurt us and our families seem to always blame the other person.

Enjoy, show them you are happy.

Butterfly -
As they say all the time...Easy does it. If it is supposed to be, it will blossom naturally and easily and taking it slowly won't hurt a thing. Be cautious, but expect to be treated well.
