What to expect at inpatient treatment?

Hi. I just posted on the newcomers board..if you could check out my email and help give me some answers..

basically, although, I go more in depth on my other post, I need to know what will go on during my 30 day stay at a treatment facility for alcoholism? I'm checking myself in next week.

I cannot tell you exactly what will go on in the treatment facility that you are going to. What I would suggest is that you call them and ask them what it is like, what you do, meetings, counseling etc. I can tell you what my rehab was like, I was there for 3 months. We had 3 in house meetings a day, we worked on our steps, we did our chores (it was a residential house, we had to cook and clean for ourselves). Weekly we met with the director of the program to work on our step work/couseling stuff like that. Sundays was visiting day and family meeting day. Most of the day was spent reading recovery stuff, talking with the other women about changing our lives...it was recovery 24/7. We went to a few outside NA or AA meetings a week if we could walk to them.

I can tell you, where ever you go, you will get out of it what you put into it. Soak it up like a sponge, build relationships there.
