| strength needed
Hi i know im still new but had to ask for some strength. I am having a small proceedure done but antistetic is always a trigger for me and unfortunately the pain would be to great to avoid it. I am going to ask that they minimize it as much as possible. Im going to the gym first to toughen up and get the endorphins flowing. Im off to make breakfast for my little one (not yet in school but an EARLY riser). have a good day, thanks for listening. Kim |

Best of luck to you, Kim! You have won half the battle with the anesthetic trigger just by knowing how you will react. Also by being honest with your docs. My prayers are with you. Also, no one is too new to ask for strength. That's what we're all here for!!! Let us know how it goes...

Sending prayers for you. You have identified the trigger, that is half the battle right there.

Do you go to meetings in your area. If so Its a good idea to hit one before and after more so after. Also if you have recovering friends as well. If not make sure you come in here. Someone is always here to help. Good luck on your procedere I will keep you in my prayers.

| I did it, I DID IT!
made it through without picking up or even thinking of it and girls youll be proud i didnt even take any pain pills offered. Just another trigger i dont need and the pain wasnt that bad . BUT now i have another dilema. I recently applied for life insurance and I have never been diagnosed with an alcohol problem just anxiety but i did go to a psychiatrist that was worried about me self medicating and gave me antabuse. As ive said before i am a binge drinker so the antabuse comes in handy when i feel the urge (like fourth of july also same time as the test) I take one. Well i got a call yesterday from an underwriter asking me questions and i didnt lie but didnt admit to "alcoholism". So my question to anyone out there is does antabuse show in your system? argghh i am what i am but i need life insurance. Ive just had a recent physical with blood work and was fine, so im confused.. any comments? other than tell the truth LOL? which i will do if they ask me more questions because of course i havent slept tonight thinking of karma and how it always bites me in the butt. The killer here is last year at exam time i did fine and was taking it then too. different underwriter maybe? sorry, just sounding off. thanks for your input Kim

I wouldn't worry about it. However if you allowed them to talk to your psych they may tell them unless you said not to. If they did it last year and everythings the same don't worry about it. Way to go on making it through the procedure.
