Wow, Sky, I just read the story and I'm so impressed. Impressed, but not surprised! I knew you were on a mission and that it was what you were meant to do. You have found a way to turn your personal pain into a tool that will help other people. Love, Anna |

Sky, what a mission, I read your story, there is so little the public knows, it's a shame. Keep going. More power to you.

I am so sorry to hear of your troubles Cynthia, unfortunately I do not have anyy answers for you. All I can suggest is to keep working with the services and try to talk some sense into your mother. Children are a very precious thing and I know because I lost mine a couple of times when they went back to live with their real dad. Now they are in their 20's and trying the cope the best they can. Just trust in your HP and hang on and don't pick up.

Cynthia The site I sent you to is for the falsely accused and the families who are experiencing immoral and unlawful acts of CPS Caseworkers. I am so happy to learn that you have a good caseworker, we know they are out there. The families who get these caseworkers are the ones we do not hear from. If your caseworker should one day decide that your mom or foster care would be best for you child, you will know where to go.

I guess what makes me sick about all this is that there is so much money being spent on trying to please a person behind a desk! lawyors, courts, cp workers,SS workers, pyscologist, and I bet cindy's mom is getting paid as well to take care of the kids by the system. Cindy it looks like you where in a rut, even Norms go through ruts. Unless you put your children's lives in danger, I do not see why CPS or anyone should be involved except you and your mom and your kids ofcourse. You had a place to live for 14 years! people get to keep thier kids even if they are homeless. Ugh, it only proves to me that the money should be spent in keeping the family together and to find a better way in treating addiction. I bet if you where offered a lump sum of money that it is taking to prove yourself, you would have sought help in a heart beat (not giving you the money mind you LOL,but putting in the bank for future resources). Ugh I could scream!!!!

ugh what makes me sick, is yes kids need protection in a lot of cases, but where do you draw the line in live and let live. I'v seen SS worker no **** rubb their hands in glee in the thought of taking away a baby from it's young mother and putting it in foster care! The mom was hounded so much to be perfect (she was also a product of the system) that she left her baby with her aunt for a few hours to go party. So many people where up this poor girls butt that the aunt was afraid to have the baby for fear of her getting sucked into the sytem too. Teh aunt and uncle bring the baby down to our office because everyone is on the look out for this young girl (why everyone was alirted is the big issue). The judge comes into our office and he is not aloud to keep the baby either because he would go against his own court order LOL, (we all had a good laugh at that) because our office was the guardian of the young girl, we where aloud to have the baby until an emergency court hear later that day. I spent my whole day with this baby (I was the only female in the office). The baby a sweet little girl was well fed, dress for the conditions on the weather and the mom had packed the diaper bag herself for the aunt for the few hours the baby would be with the aunt. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh, the SS and CP workers came into the office and I swear they where frothing at the mouth and I swear they where rubbing their hands together in glee and the words where "O goodie another baby to place with good people". Anyway at the end the baby was put in foster care. a month later the poor girl was found murdered in a park! I do not think that girl would have been at the park if she had the baby to go home to! What a waste of a life and lives just to please people and to tell people how they should live. The young girl was doing her job as a mother. The young girl was being young, but was responcible enough to find a sitter for a few hours. Other than that, they had no hold on the girl except that the young girl was a part of the system as well. The young girl's mother and foster mom got along great until the system snooped in and took the girl out of a well meaning foster home for the foster mother letting the real mother come over and visit the young girl. The young girl goes out after that and has sex and gets pregnant. She decides as her right to keep the baby. Both the baby and the young girl where doomed for a life of hell in the system.

Zoomer - what an awful story and what a job you have. It must frustrate you to no end. From what I hear of it I don't think I like the foster care system that much. So glad you could vent. That poor girl. My daughter has had a baby out of wedlock and so far as made it on her own. She moved upnorth a ways. I pray they never become part of that system.

Sky sounds like a terrific site. I had very good experiences with my case worker. I hated for my case to close. However I have had the pleasure of meeting some real doosies in my life. They are so mean and just don't belong in the system. My friend has a daughter involoved and they won't let her see the kids. Shes the grandma and never let anyone hurt them. Its just sad how some of the ones who should be involved are. I hope you get into something that really makes a difference.

Zoomer You make some good points which we are hearing again and again from many families. This is why we want the system to be more "Family Frendly." Yes that is a sad story and there are many, many more. I see everyday moms losing there children and then being put in unfit foster homes where the foster parents are much worse then the natural mom. Most are in it for the money. So they play good mom to the caseworker win over the case worker then start raking in the money. Then you see the moms who need there kids taking away, the moms who were in it for the welfare, they leave there kids alone and there houses are filthy and well unfit and they still have there kids. The whole system seems to have gotten blinded by money. I think it is a great thing sky and hope that it makes some kind of indent into the situations that need it. I was once involved with d.s.s and got a great worker. She has since closed my case but the storys she told me. Never mentioned names but the dirty houses cocaroaches and filth and how she so badly wanted to take the baby out of the house hold and couldn't because the baby had no physical appearence of being abused. Its just sick. Then the moms who are trying there best to do as much as they can with the little means they have and they lose theres. Zoomer we also had a case here in worcester,ma. that a baby got put in foster care the mom cleaned up got into recovery and got a job, well right when she was to get her child back it turns up the kids was missing for a month(foster parents never reported it) they tried to say they thought the mother came back and took the baby please. Turns out the foster father murdered the baby or was a suspect because it would not stop crying. So the story was wrotten but without the babys body the man was never charged. Now everything that young mom tried to do to get her little helpless baby back was for what to have a funeral. Just sickens me.
