I am a great mother and friend. I am strong in my faith with my higher power. I can do anything I set my mind to, I will remain clean and sober as long as I never pick up that first substance.

The more we say positive affirmatins the more we believe them. I have been doing them faitfully and good things have been happening. I will continue because I see it works for me.

This will be my last attempt to save this post. I am happy it lasted this long. It was definatly a good idea at the time. It also helped me through a few storms. So with that said:

I have not been in this thread for a while so I thought I would pull it up and remind myself of all the positive things in my life. I need a remember when every now and then:

I am a good mother and friend,

I need to remember I Am I Can and I Will are the most positive statements I can use to remind myself that I am worth everything God has to offer me today. I deserve a good life a great bunch of friends and a great family. Still having trouble on the family part but thats not my bad thats theres and it is there loss to. They are missing out my mother is missing seeing her granddaughter grow and turn into a beautiful young lady. My mother is missing out haveing a relationship with the now sober me. After three in a half years you would think she would start a relattionship but she is stuck so far up my sisters butt she can't see.OOPs anyway her loss.

Positive thoughts lead to positive feelings lead to a positive life.

I when sometimes feeling down I think of all the positive things I have gained this past three and a half years and it helps me to get out of the funk.

Being and thinking positive helps me get through some of lifes tougher moments. Iam grateful I learned positive affirmations. I can remember when younger in recovery thinking this is just silly I won't talk to myself in the mirror I am not crazy. Today wheather crazy or what I do it. While shopping while laying in bed showering no matter where if I need to feel better I say some or think some positive thoughts. It's not crazy and it helps me through the tough times.

I am I can and I will look at my life in a positive way not a negitive.

i had to do these in rehab...every day i asked 10 people to say something positive about me and then i recited them in the mirror as a counselor watched...it did work
I am an intelligent woman who deserves to be sober
I am caring and loving and deserve to be loved
I can stay sober
I am a strong woman

I am sober,
I have a beautiful healthy child,
my bills are paid,
I have a appartment and a bed to sleep in,
there is food.

We so often forget how grateful we are for the bare essentials in life I try to keep it up front to remind myself I could be homeless and cold without a bed to sleep in or a roof over my head it is then when I realize how grateful I am to be alive and have a home. I thank God everyday for the smaller things in life.

I can beat this depression with the help of my nurse positive people and support.

I am feeling better and know I can continue to feel better as long as I think positive and push my self.

I will remain positive and pray each day for a good day.
