I'm glad the weekend is over

I for one am glad the weekend is over. I'm so glad SRF was here when I tried to keep my chin up! LOL, I tried to keep a positive outlook on Mother's Day,but I was feeling blue! I had a rough night last night from sleeping too much during the day (relaxing or escaping???),but I feel so much better even after a couple hours sleep. I have the girl picking up my son's car tonight,so that will be one less haunting thing for me to deal with. He is OK with us giving it away. He never took the time or any of his money to help fix it up,so the girl will have a blast and I'm glad. My daughter called after her e-mail and I loved hearing her voice, but I was sad too. She can't wait to come home and wants me to take her shopping. It's another sucky raining day here and I need to go shopping. It will get me out of the house! Anyway, i want to say thanks again to the ladies on SRF for hanging this weekend on the board. It was a very hard weekend to get through! Huggys

Re: I'm glad the weekend is over

Sooo very sorry to hear of your tough time this weekend. I wish I had the magic to change it. With our hardest times comes strength. I fear my daughter growing up. Even at her young age when we argue it hurts. I just need to remember and you as well that we are doing the best we possibly can so we can not beat ourselves up. Hope you have a better day today.

Re: I'm glad the weekend is over

TY Bubblze(((huggys))). I feel stronger today than I have in the past two weeks! Kids grow up,they do their own thing right or wrong. The argument is over with my son,it was the sadness of him turning in the wrong direction that ligered. Of course I had to go through all the memories of what I did right and what I did wrong, but the biggest point of all was that I did something all these years! I'm not the perfect parent. I had to make things up as I went along to compensate what I did not learn in my youth. Last night my 8 year old crawled into bed with me. She just wanted me near her. She hogged up the whole bed! I went to go lay down on the couch and she woke up scard and woke me up as i was just falling asleep. I grumbled some, but it did feel good to be needed. She was so good today getting ready for school and I got her the book order ready that she wanted. Sometimes in saddness we forget to look in the shining faces of our children, but when we do hope is there. Extra Huggys for my kids today and perhaps cookies too

Re: I'm glad the weekend is over

Huray, i went to the store and my son behaved himself I did not forget a thing and even remembered the training pants for my son (keep forgetting because I hate the potty training stage) My son is down for his nap and I'll take a rest too and get busy with the cookies and clothes! This is a big thing for me because I have been so dispondent these past two weeks and forgetting things and dreading things... The sun is trying to shine through, I got to see 3 hawks on my way back home from the store and a whole orchard full of blooming apple trees. It feels good to have some of the depression lifted!

Re: I'm glad the weekend is over

(((((((((((huggys dot))))))))))) and bless your heart! I love hawks they remind me of freedom just because of the way they fly. Never thought of them eating poodles though LOL, the girls are home demanding this and that. I told one to go back outside and come in again and say hello in stead of "I want"! I put the big boy undies on my son after his nap and he is not liking it at all. The joys of my day. Opps hubby's home, huray now i can get some house work done...

Re: I'm glad the weekend is over

The girl came and got the car. She was so excited and I was happy for her,but very sad for my son. In return I asked her if she could retun my son's books to the school and she was happy to do that for me... Thank god, it would have been really hard for me to go inside of that school and deal with the shame I feel and saddness... Now to clean up his room and store some of his stuff. I was going to change his room into a play room or an office, but I don't have the heart right now and just incase he needs or wants our help it's here for him for just a little while... Now I need to get the kids ready for bed and school. Sorry I'm up and down I feel nurotic and need to vent!

Vent away zoomer. Listen, don't make any changes right now, just take things slow, no one knows what the future holds.
