| Tooth ache I have never had a toothache in my life. Well first time for everything. I have had 3 this week. My insurance does not cover dental and I'm not sure what toi do. It hurt so bad last night I was hitting myself in the face to forget the other pain. Screaming and yelling and moaning. Why would god inflict that much pain on someone. I thought I would lose my mind. I think I did for the pain lasted 45 minutes str8. Being in recovery I wont take pain killers. I took advil and this did not work. I lost my filling and think a nerve is exposed. Anyone have any suggestions? I truely would not wish this pain on anyone (not even my worst enemies) LOL. There was one good thing I did not think once about using drugs.

I would suggest if Advil doesn't work, you may have to try something stronger, temporarily at least. Maybe you could try going to a hospital ER and getting some kind of treatment there. Also, I'm in Canada, but universities here offer dental care for a nominal fee to patients, done by the dental students, but supervised by dentists. Many people here make use of that. Hope the pain eases up for you!! Love, Anna |

Thanks so much for the advise. I am in massachusetts in a part where there are universities all over. Maybe I will call UMASS. I appreciate it.

Tooth pain sucks!! Listen we are self employed, so we pay for our own insurance. There are several plans out there that are called discount plans. I don't know about in your state, but look in your local phone book. Good luck.

So sorry about the toothache! I am had so many toothaches over the years...it truly is miserable. Bless your heart. I know it is like to have no insurance either. Maybe try Aleve instead of advil..but if it's a nerve exposed it will need fixed. I will say a prayer for you. Hang in there! *hugs*

u could try this stuff i think its called anbesol, you apply it right to the part of your mouth that hurts and it is supposed to numb it. only a temporary solution but may help you until you find a way to get it fixed.

Bubbleze, if you go online and do a search you can enroll in a dental plan for $10, it covers a large portion of the bill. You shouldn't have to suffer as if it's absessed it could get worse. Echinecea helps my hubby with his as even though we have dental he refuses to go. Idiot huh? *LOL*

bubblze, There are many dentists who will let you pay them over time for something like this. Don't let yourself suffer needlessly. I know all about toothache pain, I've had an absessed tooth before. Check out your yellow pages and start calling dentists. Sending healing thoughts your way. Peace, Gabe |

Well the women said for emergency visits you must call at 7:30 a.m. So I did well an answering servise answered and said I must call at 8:30 a.m. so I did. When I did the women said the appointments are all gone I told you to call at 7:30 I said I did and she called me a liar and told me I could go there and sit and wait but there are no gaurentees I will be seen the nerve of her. So I sit and wait for tommorrow now. I will call again. Havent had the ache in two days but I think it is about to hit again. I pray not.

I have heard lots of stories like that at free clinic places, sad that people get treated that way. Give it a try. Tomorrow call a little after 7:30 and keep calling, maybe the service shuts off at 7:30 and their clock is a few minutes different that yours.

Hi ladies its me. Yup me but with one less tooth. They pulled the sucker out. Loaded me up with nummy stuff and rip there it went. Not easy either I might add it gave the dentist a fight. I feel like less of a person but I will get used to it. I do thank god it was a back tooth but it does still make me uncomfortable. I hope to recover from the uncomfotableness. I was given pain meds but have not filled them because the pain I was in was far worse then the slight pain of pulling it out. However I still have it just incase it gets bad after a few days I will rip it up im thinking. He did a good job though so I descided to let him clean my daughters teeth as well. Seems like a good doc to me . She goes today for a checkup and cleening. Thank you all for your support.

Would ya all believe i am having fantom pains (not sure how to spell it) where my tooth used to be. It is not as bad pain but it feels like my toothh is still there at times. The brain is a magnificent thing. It is still telling me my tooth is there. God sure did make us some very interesting creatures.LOL. I have so much relieve now that it is over and I am not really dwelling on it to much can't see it when I smile so I will be ok (unless I meet someone and french kiss them) without it. The feeling less then is subsiding.LOL.

(((((((huggys)))))))), Your so smart to let them pull it instead of opting for a root canal! I had one and they still pulled my tooth. I had the dam tooth for 2 years because I was pregnant and the appointments are so far apart. Anyway, I bless my open spot in the back other than having that pain for 2 years... I'm due to get a fake tooth put in,but I'm procrastenating...
