Seriously

Vent alert.

I don't feel like I can handle being pregnant anymore .... OMG! My due date is Apr. 13 ..... 24 days, but who's counting? Doc appointment Thursday and I'm hoping he says I'm dilated and ready any second. I'm going nuts. I'm still working .... or should I say, showing up to work (most days) and every morning I think I can't do it, just getting out of bed hurts me ..... I feel like a total wimp. Other women seem to do it with no problem and I hate how emotional I am. It's out of control.

Congratulations! You are perfectly normal!

Those last few weeks...wow. I think that being sick to death of being pregnant is what helps us go through labor, we are SO ready to not be pregnant anymore.

Then we get the reward of being able to smell our baby's head. That's be best high ever IMO.

Hormones rushing around right now getting ready for a HUGE change, you can feel whatever you feel, but you still gotta do what ya gotta do.

But smelling our baby's head is the BEST high ever. Nothing else has ever ever made me feel "THIS is what I was born to do" the way that has.

I guess they don't have a remote control on this pregnancy thing???
Like ok sweet precious baby, pause so Mommy can get some rest tonite button;

or a fast forward to the 14th button (which would put you past deliver & holding the baby) or

mute for everyone giving all that wonderful advice about what you are suppose to do to cause you to go into labor;

well then of course there would be the OFF button for those comments "Ain't you had that baby yet?"

STFU button (pardon my french!) for those that like to share their stories about days & days of hard labor - really is it necessary to scare the crap out of Mom?????

Well - may not have helped, but hopefully it helped you smile!

Feel Better & wishing for the arrival of your sweet bundle of joy soon!

PINK HUGS,
Rita

Thanks girls.

I'm driving my fiance nuts too. Poor guy.

I couldn't sleep last night so I lay in bed praying I'd go into labor.

Off to the doc this afternoon.

Maybe some music therapy?

Find some nice calm music and rest in meditation and prayer.

Get yourself some good juices. I love that blue machine blueberry and carrot juice is good too.

Give yourself plenty of healthy juices...I like organic from whole foods.

Some very healthy food and some nice tunes might give you a lift.

Have a wonderful day.

PS...I can remember making recordings...mixes of my labor music in those last weeks. I brought a tape box, LOL, and tapes I made...maybe you have a way to make a labor music mix!

Also, I had been working on a baby calendar, and baby book...don't forget these things.

Start a cool scrapbook, so that it is done, and you only have to add the pictures without doing the work later.

The advice given to me when I was overdue and 'done' was to enjoy the peace of the last few days before the baby arrived. Tried as I might, I didn't really manage that.

Hang in there PD and keep us posted with what's happening.

I know exactly how you feel! Then when I finally went in labor I was like "I can't believe I did this again!!" I always thought something was wrong with me cause I hated being pregnant (both times) Other women said how much they felt happier or beautiful or giggled all the time. Not me. It's the end now sweetie, just a little more to go and you'll feel that love you have never thought possible! Holding your new little special person. So soft and fragile. Makes me want to........snap pot of it!!!! lol

Oh boy! Last night I watched some videos of births, one with an epi and one without. I almost cried. I can't figure out if it's because I'm excited or it scared the crap out of me.

I'm doing the epi BTW.

Three more weeks to go. Docs visits each week. May be he'll say it's time to go this week!

10 days and counting until due date.

We're going to talk to the doc about possibly inducing on that date (or sooner if he things). I think hubby is ready for me to not be pregnant too!

Aawww sweeetie, right now you probably feel like you need a wheel barrell to support your pregnant belly while you walk. I know exactly how you feel!! You are almost there wooohooo! Don't watch those movies of birth right now. Quick funny story: I was in labor with my first and everyone in their mother thought they had to visit me then. There was a big mirror on a pole in the room. My grandmother (we call her nanny) said "oh look, a mirror so you get freshen up for your guests" I said " thats so you can watch the birth nanny!" she frowned and said eew! lol! Good times.....

Doc appointment today. We're going to ask about inducing on the 13th. Not that I have expectations, but I expect him to do what I want!!

My advice: Drink lots and lots of water after the birth...last thing you need is constipation...it was worse than giving birth!

Congrats..

Mother of 2 induced babies..no epis back then!

And I have been told that natural rather than induced is easier. I wouldn't know.

Still chugging along. Working until the end of this week whether it kills me or not. Ugh.

If it doesn't happen before, the doc will induce on the 18th.

Made me laugh out loud COGirl!!

I'm quite certain it won't happen today but there was that one time I was wrong so ....... you never know. Cross your fingers though .... we actually want it to happen today. 13 is both of our lucky numbers and our anniversary is on the 13th of July. He even has a "13" tattoo!
