Hi Gals, I need some help. Actually Prayer help. and listening. My boss..who has become a VERY close dear friend of mine, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. All of the facts have not been laid out completely but it will require full radical mastectomy..probably chemo & radiation, and she will definitely go through reconstructive surgery. I am pretty sure she is one of us, although she thinks that is absurd, and she has no belief in God...(I think she does, but she is WAY TO SELF DEPENDENT to admit that publicly) My recovery has been a inspiration to her, and I try to keep our relationship princibled (sp) to the best of my ability. I obviously am asking for prayers for her. But I am also asking for prayers for myself. This is HUGE to me. I have a family full of breast cancer survival, and I have a tragic loss of a good friend several years ago. I absolutely despise the disease. Along with being the only office personnell in the company, and run ALL aspects of the office part of the business, including PR, motivation etc. On my best days...my job is a handful. My boss is the only owner and she does a TON of the work herself. We will ALL have to step up in our responsibilites. I am asking for prayers, as an employee and as a friend. To have the ability to take this on head on, with every bit of compassion, tolerance, perserverance, knowledge, courage, enthusiam, strength, to meet every challenge that I come against. I NEED as many prayer warriors as I can muster!! I appreciate the opportunity to vent, and ask for help. Humbly yours, Anne |

(((Anne))) You are stronger than you give yourself credit for. You will do what needs to be done. I will say an extra prayer for your friend (and for you). Cancer of any type is horrible, makes my stomach sick. I lost my dad to cancer and my sister is in remission again, thank God. Sending hugs and love to you my friend.

~Dear Anne~ Prayers are being sent and will add you and your boss to my daily prayers. This has to be so hard for you, but remember God will carry us when we can do no more, and our HP will also provide us the strength to do what we must. Hang in there, my friend. ((((((((((((Anne and boss))))))). Breast Cancer is horrilbe and I truly hope that things go well with your boss. I guess when I went through it with my mom, we just had to go with the flow. When I first found out, I wanted to resurch everything and try to get my mom to do everything she could to get cured. She wanted to be treated by her own doctor and just try not to make a fuss over everything. She put a lot of faith in being watched over by a higher power and in the end felt protected by "her Angels". Everyone is different and has to find their own way,but it's good to just be there for them and to make their dissions easier by excepting what they want to do. It's not easy for the family or friends, but we don't count when it comes to fighting breast cancer.

I love how you are all there for me and for each other!! Very cool. Thanks all of you for your support. I am really well gosh you know....AFRAID!!! I feel really blessed though I am sober a year now, and for answered prayer in my attitude...Usually I would just be like OH MY GOD I CANNOT DO THIS....but today I felt renewed strength and renewed commitment to my employer and I will MAKE it a point to keep a helpful and unmartyrd attitude. Thanks Phoenix...I can feel the love. I hope you are doing okay too. You are a very good example of dignity through trials!! Anne |
