Lost a big piece of my heart today - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

My Mother, my biggest supporter passed away today very unexpectedly.

This is hard. Really hard.
Its a pain I never wanted to feel.

Even in my worst times of addiction she did all the right things for me.

If ever there was a time for me to fall or jump off the wagon this would it.

But no...... that was the old me.
The new me doesn't want to, need to and won't and for that I thank each and every one of you on this board for being there to help guide me in my recovery. You've all given me a newfound strength that I never thought I could possess.

Thank you all from the bottom of my soul.

Be strong girl, but grieve too! Unfortunately , there is only one way to do that ...and we have to go thu it , cant go round it , but I am sure we are all here for you

Huggys!!! I lost my mom in June and I could not have gotten through it without the people here! If you even need to talk we are all here even if it's about the weather!!!I'll be thinking about you and your mom!
