Not feeling good today - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

Well I guess I can just chalk this up to having a bad day. I just do not feel good today. I am irritable and restless. I dont exactly know what is wrong but it is causing that feeling in my chest, that anxiety that I used to medicate with handfuls of Xanax! I am pregnant so I am sure some of this is hormone related but freak! How do you gals get through these gut wrenching days? I dont want to work, I feel generally just depressed! What a whiner I know but I am open to suggestions here. I am at work in front of a computer so for the immediate relief there is no bubble bath in sight! Help!

I am sorry you are having a bad day. There is a wise woman here at SR that says...
the difference between a good day and a bad day, is about 2 days.

And it is true. You are at work, what can you do good for yourself at work, well you came here that is a great thing for you. You came here and you vented and let go of the yuck.

Vent away more any time as you know someone will be here to listen. And head for the bubble bath as soon as possible.

Thanks for responding. I do not post a lot but when I do, I really appreciate the answers back.

I got to the root of this issue today. I got a call this morning from my ex husband's sister, just small talk. Anyways she tells me that her dad saw her brother (who has been MIA for months now and does not see our kids or pay support) and he was with his girlfriend. I am not mad about the girlfriend part, that is a given that I will have to deal with him having other women. The part that is difficult is that she has a little girl, and it just infuriates me that he will spend time with her and her daughter but acts like my kids dont exist! I mean my heart is so sad over this right now. I dont know that he has anything to even offer our kids but how is it that he can do that! It is like he is dead to us, but has enough time in his busy non working schedule to visit with her and her kid. No, I am not bitter, not at all! LOL

Oh well, maybe its one of those God things and I should say thanks rather than why.

Oh, and you asked what can I do for myself at work, Well I just ordered a lunch that I usually would never spend that much money on for lunch. I will bury my irritation in food today, which I never do, so I am splurging!!

Thanks girls!

I am doing much better today. As Paulie said, only about 2 days between a good one and a bad one! I cannot believe that even as a pregnant girl, I have to worry about myself getting pills and taking them! I am ashamed that it even sneaks into my mind, but what can I say, I am one sick puppy!!! LOL
