I am going to be buying my ma a computer in a couple of weeks so she can have something to do. She is not well physically..and has alot of depression at times. I know that she will love it once she gets the hang of it. I will help her out some at first. she is very smart and I keep telling her its mostly common sense...and if I can do it so can she.
I cannot really afford this..am going to use some of my 401K savings when i get it. But I love that I can do it..I know it will make a big difference in her life. It will be so cool to have her here on the boards with us

When I was 55 my son bought a new PC an gave me his old one. I had never touched one before...and my typing sucked

I took classes in Keyboarding at a Jr. college...got on line been there ever since!!

I upgraded the orginal...bought a newer one..finally could buy an "on sale at sears"!!

I too have limited mobility at times and low vision. And I live in a town of 5000 avowed "down home folks".

I use Sally Sony as a window on civilazation!! :shades:

I hope she will have a blast!!

Thank you for the giggle! Your words were great to hear. I am so excited about this...I love her so much and would really like to see her happy just one time. I know she will love it..patiently waitiing. Its sad but true that when you cant get around much anymore..it closes you off from life. Which is not what anyone needs.
