I took the kids swimmimg Saturday and seeing all the women in bikinis really hit me how far I've let myself go, and not getting in to swim because I think I'll look too bad in a swimsuit inspired me to lose weight get in shape and be active again. Last year I was underweight but gained some the past few months. Hope you and your daughter have a great nights sleep!!

2 stop: there you go again worrying about the things that really dont matter at this point, i do understand what you mean about gaining, since my mom passed i had put on about 30lbs, i just got on the scale for the first time in about 3 months and i actually lost 12 lbs, now that has inspired me to start walking and excerzing again, also my son has a complete weight station in his room so i'm thinking that since he really dont use them any more maybe i will start to lift weights, i hear that they are a really good way to work out and get into shape. i'm sure that you will feel alot better once you start to excersize it's also a mental thing. if you look better you will feel better. I hear ya, I hear ya!! LOL!! The more sober I become and assess all the damage it gets a bit scary, but I am looking at it as more of a challenge now, at least I'm not running anymore..Thank God. Lifting weights is a great way to exercise. I used to go to a gym to work out, but really preferred to do it at home or a park somewhere. Exercising outdoors always felt good.

| thank you thank you for forwarding my number. As for the weight dont even think about what others think Listen to this story I hurt my back right, well, in one short year I have gained 100 pounds. I went from 140 to 232. Talk about ewwe. Well that was that. I started to exersize no matter what anyone thought. I hated myself I blamed recovery also not just my injury but the bottem line was I was on the couch eating and nothing else. Then it hit me if I keep this up I will die. so I stopped eating carbs, pasta, white bread, rice, potatoes . now I eat chicken and tuna on wheat for lunch salad with very little dressing and I like low sodium soups too. I treat myself to an ice cream once a week not a huge one but one on a stick.. I have now lost35 lbs so far go to the docs on the 5 to see how much more. If we worry about what everyone else thinks it will always slow us down. Do what ever it is you have to do then you can be the on to say YOU MADE FUN OF ME WHEN i WAS THICK WELL LOOK AT ME NOW"!!!LOL As fo the weights slow and light you dont want to bulk up I used to be a member of golds and cardio is the best to tone up but if you want muscle definition light weights and high reps (meaning20 -25) stop then do it 3 times all together you will get better results but remember light weight you dont want to look like a guy

Oh I hear ya girl!! I have always been so weight conscious, I used to be addicted to exercise, As a teenager i would annoy the hell outta my friends..when riding bike I would take them to every hill in town and tell them to ride up it several times without standing up on the pedals! needless to say i rode alone a lot

bubbles: thanks for the info especially about the weights, i plan on taking it very slow, and as far a dieting goes, awhile back i felt the need to lost weight,i did slimfast for about 2 months , drank it in the morning and after noon, either had a light dinner or a weight watcher frozen dinner, i lost almost 38 pounds, now 2 years later i need to get the weight off again, but this time i am determined to exercise, hang in there you are doing so well Bernadette |
