| Has anyone ever read these????
Hi All! This is the 1st time I have posted on this forum. I usually hang out in the "newcomer" one. Anyways, I am reading/working the text and workbook of "A Woman's Way through the 12 Steps (Covington), as well as "A Woman's Addiction Workbook (Najavits). I am getting a HUGE amount from both of them. Anyone with any feedback or comments about these would be greatly appreciated! |

I have not read them, but I think it's great that you are being inspired!

I am using the book and the workbook of "A woman's way thru the 12 steps". I love them! Where are you in reading these...there is so much good stuff in there, it's hard to know where to start with feedback and comments. I am eager to hear what you think of them. Jomey

Hi all and thanks for the responses! Jomey, I'm so glad we can bounce off of each other. I have to run now, but will be back later to reconnoiter on this. I like the Covington books, but I love the Najavits one. It's more generalized, and comes from a different perspective, but taken together they are giving me a spiritual, mental and emotional makeover! |

Sounds good...two of the three kids now sick, so I will be around the house all day today! (except, most likely, to go pick up the third one at school when the headmaster calls to tell me he is sick also! LOL) Jomey

I think i started a thread on this once....I have the stuff and we have been reading from the book in our big book coffee group when we can get people to open up outside the joe and charlie paradigm!!!!! So....I will make a real effort to start into it formally this weekend despite my packing and visiting mom...can we all work together on this some how? start a thread specifically labeled that book name (or change this thread title to that..just so it's easy to find each day)? And share like if not daily weekly on it? It would help me an awful lot if others are interested...i have not felt comfortable with where i am at on my step work and this is something that would help. Thanks. |

Hi Ananda - Just hit the trifecta! LOL Third kid home from school now - you never heard the amount of coughing and nose blowing going on! Our family can singlehandedly get the economy back on track if everyone goes and buys some stock in Kleenex and Vicks! LOL Anyway, I would love to work on this daily...winter is the slowest time around the farm, so now would be a great time for me to start. Let me know what ideas you have, besides starting the specific thread (which I think would be a great help) Maybe we could get an idea of where everyone is on step work? Thanks! jomey

Ooooo, this is fabulous that we can do this together! I am out of the country for 6 months, but would love to do the steps "cyber-fashion" while here. I saw the thread Ananda, so are we all shifting over to it from here?????

I'm currently using the first workbook you mentioned and i'm finding it extremely helpful. Along with my sponsor, AA meetings, the 12 x 12 and the Big Book, I'm learning a ton!
