if it weren't for bad luck i'd have no luck at all

hi everybody thanks for the prayers and good wishes while i was under the weather after my surgery. i am feeling much better now. but you will never guess what happened while i was sick!!! my 16year old son who does NOT have a drivers permit or liscense took my dads 2008 kia sedona mini van to drive his friend who is liscensed home. taylor the friend drove the van to his house then my son joshua was supposed to drive it home on the back country roads, well he tried to turn was going too fast and wreaked the van. he did $6000.00 worth of damage to the van. now this is the same van that i wreaked in Aug and caused $9500.00 worth of damage to. my dad is so pi$$ed. and i can't blame him. and my son feels so bad and he knows he screwed up. and he is lucky that the sheriffs deputy didn't put his butt in jail. instead he got a ticket for driving without ever having ever been liscenced and has to appear in court. i'm telling ya if it weren't for bad luck i wouldn't have any luck at all. well i have to go i have to take my daughter to the high school for a choir performance.

My only suggestion is to go visit the Gratitude thread -- I need to go there too. You've had some rotten luck, but I bet there are some impressive good luck moments in there that are being overlooked.

I'm a little moody being impaired by my recent knee replacement. To top it off my orthopaedist reprimanded me today for doing too much too fast

But ya' know what? Despite all that, I'm having a pretty good recovery, and it sounds like you are too. I'm very grateful for that. There's lots of good stuff when I let myself see it.

hey NoelleR you r right my dad sure does get the booby prize....poor man this has cost my dad $2000 in deductables. well that is all for now, i am busy fighting with my kids today....they are both being little sh!ts.

well my dad will be home from texas in a little over a week but he is still pretty mad about the van. so now i owe him a $1000 i just don't have and have to pay the difference in his insurance which is like $150 a month which i don't really have. and i can't make my son get a job because in the state of indiana they check a students grade point average and the student has to maintain a 2.0gpa to work and he doesn't have a gpa that high. so he can't get a job. which is really frustrating because he is smart enough to carry at least a 3.0gpa but because of his autism he is hampered. but anyway.....i have to go i have to take my daughter to the therapist. talk to everyone later.
