| I Love You Guys!!!!!!!!!! (gals)
I don't consider myself a needy person, maybe more the opposite, however I have to say that I have enjoyed coming here and posting, reading others posts, sharing and all that good stuff. I've got tons of tangible support as well but it's so nice to come here and see all the different topics and get something from so many different people having and going through so many different things in life. I have to say that there are the regulars on here that post frequently that I follow because of what the "they" have to say. Mainly I guess because I relate and it's nice to see that while I know that "recovery" is universal we all have different view points and mind aren't always the same as others........such as my "tangible" supporters, ya know? Anyway, it's just nice to come here. Ok, thanks for letting me share. |

I love SR too Vegi! I think it's amazing that we have people from all over the world, coming together here, to share and help each other.

| I too love SR! It has been a lifeline in my sobriety at times. I also love that I have been given the opportunity to be of service here at SR by being a greeter. I was very honored to have been asked and am grateful each day because it makes me connect with others. I tend to isolate so this has been very healthy for me. SR has also allowed me to discuss things that I would have trouble talking about in person. It is much easier to put my words down here, edit, and here a variety of responses rather than trying to put my thoughts into words at the spur of the moment, with no edit feature, and then only hearing one of two people give me feedback and support. The women here have truly helped me with my struggle over my mixed emotions and fears regarding my youngest daughter. You also helped me to get the courage to discuss this with my sponsor. I am terrible about saying "I'm fine," or "doing good," when asked rather than admitting that I might be falling apart. I still struggle with the "look good". A bit of ego I need to let go of. But you are helping me to do that. I thank each of you for being here. Thanks for all you do!

I second your post! You know what I love about SR? I can be questioning something, not be able to reach my sponsor, be stumped, hop on here, put the question out there and hrs later have responses, some even with literature quotes w/ page numbers! awesome! There is a wealth of informative supportive ppl on here, and that is KEY in my recovery! thanks for sharing Vegibean! Sheila |

I agree. In fact, sometimes when my sponsor criticizes me for "not spending enough time with my sobriety network" (she spends most of her time with NA folks), I'm tempted to tell her that I find a lot of help on here. But I won't. I don't want her reading about all the stuff I write here. KJ |
