Hello - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

Hi,
Just a quick response to all of you, particularly Carol. I am doing all the things I have been taught in the rooms and using a physician. I attend meetings, see a doctor and talk with my sponsor. I also remain active as an alumni with my long term treatment center I moved forward from in 2000. I went through a period where I had NOT been doing these things though, and I feel a lot of this (except for the health issues) is just the aftermath of NOT doing what I knew I needed to. This was truly a learning experience given by God to give the importance of doing all these things to hang on to my recovery.

I do not have a system at home, so I use our library for this is why I may not respond on a daily basis. But please keep your responses coming - it never ceases to amaze me the scope this program has in this world. Besides knowing my higher power is always there, no matter where in the world I am, I have other recovering people to help along this path - Thanks much--

Hi I am a new member. I have been in AA for 13 months and have just been to an aa meeting. Feeling really positive today and trying to work the steps.

Welcome Mazel, it's great that your feeling good about yourself and what your doing with your life in terms of your recovery. There is alot of wisdom in the 12 steps, and alot of recovery in the meetings.

I look forward to hearing more about you.
