I have not used crank in 45 days and I'm still having dreams about relapsing. The cravings cause the worst anxiety. Staying busy is all I know to do and I'm having trouble giving up pot, I use it as a security blanket and I know that's not a good thing. One day at a time right? Also could use some tips on making meetings a regular thing. I don't even understand why thats such an issue for me. As far as crank goes, I do not put myself in the position where relapse can be an option. I really do want to learn how to live without any sustance at all. |

My DOC was meth, and I still have occasional dreams and I am now at 51 days clean. They can sometimes ruin my day! I really enjoy my NA meetings. They make me feel stronger and I always gain something from them.

I'm at 5 3/4 years - and still have the occasional using dream. They become less unsettling over time - at least, they did for me. For the first three months or so, they were pretty regular. As your life changes - and meetings, sponsorship, steps can help bring that change about - your dreams will change, too. Tips on making meetings a regular thing? If they're at the same time every day, just don't commit to doing anything else at that time. That's the time you take to save your life. At 45 days clean, there was no reason that was a good reason for me to miss a meeting. I went when I didn't feel well, I went when I was tired, and I went even if my day was busy as hell. I'd use under the same circumstances, so I worked towards getting better under those circumstances. You have to want recovery. Peace & Love, Sugah

Hello- I am at 96 days sober and I still have dreams once in awhile of drinking. The first month or so I had them all the time. But they are not as often now and bother me less. I agree with what sugar said about the meetings. I have several that I have committed to that I rarely cancel for anything else. They are not at the same time everyday though, that way I don't have to say "I am never available at 6pm." Changes it up a bit. Good luck. |

The dreams are compensatory. Your subconscious is doing what your conscious is not. The body is trying to balance itself out, to transfer the energy. I am trying to say that drinking dreams are a good sign. They mean your recovery is on track and going from temporary to permanent.

I'm 10 year clean and sober, and have had them a lot in the last year, using and drinking dreams, which I assume is probably just a reflection of how much change has happened in my life over this time, both external and internal. I am also a member of SLAA (sex and love addicts anonymous) since last Nov and this week I have had a couple of dreams that some of my ex partners were SLAA members too...oh, and in my dreams they have been members since 1994. What that is about I haven't the foggiest, especially the date, but in my dream I have that sinking feeling that I get when I'm in trouble.... Hows that for weird? The brian is a strange machine....

I had them for quite some time and then they just stopped, however I did have one recently and woke up in a cold sweat panicking thinking it was real, I was so relieved when it was only a dream. I hope your dreams stop soon as they usually do.
