My son is 37. Nine months ago he stopped to talk to a girl. She said she was 17. He should have walked away. He didn't. She asked him for his phone number and address it. He gave it to her. What in the hell was he thinking? Six hours later he went home. The police had surrounded his home. They arrested him for detaining a minor against her will and molesting her. They offered him probation if he would register as a sex offender. He lost his job. He lost his car. He lost his apartment. Tomorrow is his trial. Only God, Karl and this girl know whether she is a troubled teenager looking for attention or if he is a child predator. I know his life has been ruined and I love him. There is an old expression, "Now there is a face only a mother could love." For me it is "there is a kid only a mother could love." Karl has attracted trouble since nursery school. Bad karma. I am standing by my son even if he is guilty and would like some support. I believe he is innocent of the charges and guilty of stupidity. It is a risk to tell you all this. Many of you may be victims of predators, but my son is not a predator. Predators have patterns and histories. This is an isolated incident. He was WRONG to talk to her. Anyway, I am sick to my stomach and wanted to get this off my chest. Does anyone else have a child who gets into trouble all the time and weighs heavy on your soul.

Yes...I could write a long book concerning all 3 of my
childrens escapades. I'm certain they have more that
I don't know about.
